AutoNation (AN) Posts 15% Rise in March Q1 Retail Sales ...

AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN) announced its retail fresh vehicle unit sales in March, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, summed 25,489, higher 15% from the previous year.

Retail new vehicle unit sales in Domestic division for the month increased 26% year-over-year to 7,991, while for Import, retail new vehicle unit sales rose 10% to 13,403 from previous year. Retail new vehicle unit sales were 4,095 for Premium Luxury, higher 10% from a year earlier.

In addition, for the first quarter, AutoNation?s retail new vehicle unit sales, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, added 13%, with Domestic added 17%, Import added 12%, and Premium Luxury added 12%, in all cases, as compared to the previous-year quarter.

AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN) stock held volume of 0.29 million shares as compare to its average volume of 0.995 million shares. The stock after opening at $34.83 hit high price of $35.85 and now trading at $35.72 by gaining +2.70% at 09:52 AM EDT.
